33? That's how many artists make up this year's Printemps de Bourges/Fnac Revelations. Thirty-three young talents, singers or bands, come from all over France and the Francophone world beyond ? from Languedoc-Roussillon to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Lorraine, Alsace, Brittany, Auvergne, Corsica, Switzerland, the Reunion Islands and Quebec. An eclectic sampling of all the current musical trends ? hip hop, electro, rock, world, pop and folk ? selected from over four thousand candidates.

Once again, the selected artists will get to show their stuff at a prominent festival, alongside their musical elders and under the watchful gaze of industry professionals, the media, programmers, artistic directors, and fans on the lookout for new talent.

All of this is possible thanks to the "Réseau Printemps", a network of thirty regional antennas made up of devoted music lovers who, since 1985, have been sniffing out the musical talent of tomorrow, tracking down the up-and-coming artists to follow in the wake of the Têtes Raides, Zebda, Paris Combo, Anaïs, Jeanne Cherhal, Nosfell, Amélie les Crayons, Hocus Pocus and Cocoon, all discovered in recent years (among many others) on the stages of the Printemps de Bourges Revelations.

At a time when the record market is disintegrating, as we all know, and the music industry is seeking new ways to survive, it is heartening to witness this ongoing rebirth of young music fanatics and enthusiastic, ever-devoted supporters.

In the name of the entire team, I would like to thank our faithful, committed partners: the French Cultural Ministry, Bourges City Hall, ADAMI, SACEM, CNV, FCM and SPPF. A special thank you to the Fnac for their close collaboration, which ensures that young musical talent will keep blooming at Le Printemps.
