BATTLE TECKTONIK

More than a style, it's a movement. More than a brand, it's a label. Since the Tecktonik Killer happenings got started, the Tecktonik style has taken over the streets, the underground and the playground. The moves are important, but so is the look. Slim clothes, deconstructed hairdos, sparkly makeup ? it's the dress that makes the dancer. This year, Le Printemps de Bourges has joined in by organizing Battle Tecktonik. To assist the candidates, we'll have three dancers, including star Treaxy, plus an MC, a DJ and a hairstylist. Good luck to all!

"GOD IS SOUND" / Prières du Monde, une création de CAMILLE

After all, who doesn't pray in secret? As Camille is a singer, she uses the language of her voice to sing you religious songs hailing from all different traditions. Timeless songs, both sacred and pagan...

« In May 2005, I gave a concert in Jerusalem. Walking around, talking with locals, I was saddened that this city, which could be a center for dialogue, has been completely overtaken by fundamentalism and war.
As an atheist raised in a secular country, I have a hard time understanding religious conflicts. But each and every religion carries a message of peace and freedom.
And all religions sing!
I wanted to learn traditional songs from around the world to sing them in my own way, a capella. I quickly removed myself from the religious aspect of these songs to focus purely on how they sound. From ethereal Gregorian chants that reach the heavens to Zambian ritual chants rooted in the soil and the sound of the Shinto flute, as light as the wind, this is a journey through the elements.
A journey that tells the story of the world. »

Camille

"GOD IS SOUND" was previously performed in 2007 in the Eglise Saint-Eustache (Paris), and in Cannes, Thule, Montpellier and Nyon.

Fond of time travel? Listen closely...
Bach to 2008 is a creation at the crossroads of spirituality and sonority. A meeting between classically-trained, electronic and jazz musicians, who decided to leave well-trod territory behind to create something entirely unheard of. They've managed, in an amazing feat, to reconcile the irreconcilable, combining seemingly diametrically-opposed worlds in this sacred space that has survived the centuries.
The cathedral organ, played by Thomas Lacôte, the sixteen strings of the Musique Nouvelles Ensemble, the subtle sounds of Murcof and the atmospheric trumpet of Ibrahim Maalouf come together to bring classic and contemporary works to life. Certain pieces are already widely renowned (Bach, Rachmaninoff...), while others, having been composed especially for the occasion, are waiting to be discovered (Ibrahim Maalouf).
